Soundbar Size and Room Placement Guide

A soundbar does not have to match the TV width exactly, but it must fit without blocking the screen, remote receiver or ventilation.

Measure the furniture

Record available width, depth and height with the TV stand included. Check wall-mount clearance, cable bend radius and access to controls.

Align with the screen

Centre the bar horizontally and keep forward-facing drivers unobstructed. Up-firing models need the specified ceiling and shelf clearance.

Match the room

Large or open rooms may benefit from a subwoofer and surrounds, while a small room may prioritise clear dialogue and modest bass.

Plan connections

Confirm HDMI eARC or ARC, optical fallback, supported audio formats, CEC behaviour and whether required cables are included.
